José Magritte

José Magritte is a piece made specifically for the Gordon Hotel’s ‘The Wall’, located in Eugene, Oregon. The piece animates René Magritte’s Empire of Light, inserting four dancers (one on the street, three in the windows) to take up the flickering canvas. The scene zooms out and an animated The False Mirror accompanies the dancing painting.
